Theatre 2016 Partners call for all professionals’ views on the health of the sector

The 13 industry partners collaborating on the Theatre 2016 conference are asking everyone who works in the sector to visit www.theatresnapshot.co.uk and share their views on the state of the industry today and their hopes and fears for the next ten years. The results of the survey will be announced on Thursday 12 May at the opening plenary session of the Theatre 2016 conference. The survey is open now and closes at midnight on Monday 28 March.

Theatre 2016 initial programme details and speakers announced

Leading industry figures share the main stage with internationally renowned economists, data scientists and ‘Jungle’ theatre pioneers at Theatre 2016 Conference

Initial programme details have been released for Theatre 2016, the first UK industry-wide conference in over a decade and the largest ever. Keynote speakers for plenary sessions include a diverse range of leaders and innovators in the sector as well as a world-renowned economist and a data scientist. Full details of contributors are available on the free ‘Theatre 2016 App’ which is now available for Apple and Android. Bookings are already strong for this major event which takes place on 12 and 13 May 2016 across London’s Piccadilly, Lyric and Arts Theatres.

What happens in Colorado…

I’ve just returned from a fascinating few days with a dozen executive directors of US theatres and orchestras, attending a ‘summit’ run by pricing and loyalty experts TRG Arts. The event was conducted under a US version of ‘Chatham House’ rules: ‘what happens in Colorado, stays in Colorado’. I will therefore make my reflections very high level and keep things anonymous.
